NorCal Golden Lovers began in 2016 with a golden retriever meetup at the Redding Civic Auditorium - with just seven dogs. Each year, this annual event continues to grow and soon became known as Golden Palooza!

Since then, our group has teamed up with NorCal Golden Lovers Sacramento. We've gotten together for weekly walks, weekend hikes, parades, and even music venues.

​

The Golden Palooza is an annual event designed to celebrate our favorite dog breed - whether it's a puppy or a 12-year old sugar faced senior. The most extrordinary aspect of this event is the friendships formed among the participants.

We do not charge participants an admission fee, though we welcome donations to help us defray the costs of hosting. You can do that here.

​

Folks who attend Golden Palooza are encouraged to bring a slightly worn toy, bed, collar or leash. We will be donating these items to local animal shelters.

​

The mission of this event is to enhance and expand the golden retriever community and the love of our dogs.

​
